Is There Doctor Office Near Me? I Am Having Coronavirus Nightmares!

Arlington doctors office, doctors office is near you

With the Coronavirus pandemic still lingering on with newer strains every now and then, people have become more conscious of their health than ever.

Even more so, people are fearful. The moment they feel cold or cough or slight fever coming on, they start conjuring up images of Covid infection, hospitals, and likewise.

Mental effects of the pandemic

No doubt, the pandemic has left many of us mentally shaken. There have been reports of people getting nightmares, especially health care workers who have seen people dying horrible deaths due to the virus.

Not only this, people who were safely locked down in their homes, too, suffered from disturbed states of mind. Despite being well, they wondered, “Is there a doctor office near me?”

First, it was the constant bombarding of Coronavirus news on the television, with not-so-pleasant images of people suffering in hospitals. Second, it was the “separation anxiety” that cropped up with people not having been able to socialize or meet their relatives and friends.

Third, it was the fear that they, too, have the virus. Being asymptomatic, many people thought they had the virus when they actually did not.

The therapeutic talk

Doctors advise people to talk out their fears and anxieties. “This is one of the best ways to fight them. Once you blurt out everything, you feel lighter at the heart and the thing (fear and anxiety) goes away,” says a doctor at the Arlington doctors office.

Depression and anxiety were the two commonest reported mental illnesses during the pandemic. Many people are still left with the “scars” of whatever happened in 2020. The world is not the same.

There is still a long way to go

With scientists announcing “strain of concern” and “strain of interest,” it seems that the Coronavirus is busy producing newer versions of itself to constantly surprise the human race.

The battle is still on.

That’s why doctors advise people to not let their guards down. “You must still wear a mask, wash hands frequently, and practise social distancing,” says the doctor at Arlington clinic.

“We can see a lot of people becoming careless. It should not be so,” adds the doctor.

The following 10 health care tips still apply:

  • Be alert for any symptom.
  • Do not linger with that body pain or any discomfort in the body. Consult a doctor as soon as you can.
  • Practise personal hygiene and cleanliness of your surroundings.
  • Eat home-cooked meals as far as possible.
  • Continue to include fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, whole grains, and immunity-boosting foods in your diet.
  • Keep a sanitizer with you always when outdoors.
  • Avoid large crowds.
  • Refrain from large social gatherings. Virtual parties are still ‘in.’
  • Visit your nearest urgent care clinic for a health check-up; do not keep this pending.
  • No handshakes yet please. The Indian “namaste” still rocks.

The doctors office is near you. It is dedicated to providing excellent and immediate primary medical care. Just walk in and brush off those fears and anxieties.
